Autumn is when the yachting world takes stock. The Monaco Yacht Show is over, the shipyards return to work, and the boats that debuted in September finally show their interiors. Four stories from October caught our eye, as reported by Boat International.

A second life at 72 metres

Indratus, formerly Game Changer, was relaunched after a refit by Oceanco. The 72-metre yacht was originally built by Damen Yachting. Refits on this scale are increasingly the most interesting projects in the industry: they keep good hulls at sea and give owners a chance to rethink how a yacht is lived in.

A catamaran for a footballer

Sunreef Yachts confirmed an order for an Ultima 88, a 26.8-metre catamaran, for Lionel Messi. It is under construction in the United Arab Emirates.

The most interesting projects in yachting are increasingly second lives, not first launches.

Ferrari’s flying monohull

Ferrari’s Hypersail, a 100-foot foiling monohull, featured in Boat International’s round-up with a first look at its hull, with delivery planned for next year. The carbon hull came out of its mould in May 2026, revealing the boat’s final lines. It carries no combustion engine.

Italian debuts, seen from inside

Two boats that premiered at Monaco opened their doors: Baglietto’s first Fast50 (49.9 metres) and Benetti’s Dagger, a 67-metre B.Now. Both show how Italian yards are pushing open decks, glass and a closer connection to the water.
