Inside Paris Fashion Week, the debut season
Nine days, new hands at old houses. Paris closed the Spring/Summer 2027 shows with a calendar shaped by first collections.

Paris womenswear for Spring/Summer 2027 ran from 28 September to 6 October 2026, the last and longest stop of the four-city circuit. If the season had a theme, it was arrival: several houses presented collections under new creative leadership.
New names, established houses
At Courrèges, Drew Henry showed his first collection on 30 September. He was named artistic director in March 2026, succeeding Nicolas Di Felice. The following day, Carven presented the debut of Kai Nesselrath.
Debuts are the most-watched moments of any fashion week because they answer a simple question: what does a house look like through someone else’s eyes? The first collection rarely gives the full answer, but it sets the vocabulary.
A debut rarely gives the full answer. It sets the vocabulary.
How the week closed
Louis Vuitton closed the calendar on 6 October, a slot that traditionally gives the final show the last word of the season.
